Zac Goldsmith, a prominent member of the House of Lords and a government minister, has praised Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Imran Khan, for his incredibly successful environmental and afforestation strategy.
The government minister’s positive comments came after Pakistan’s Prime Minister revealed a new strategy to increase afforestation at a much faster speed than before.
Imran Khan, who has also been praised by the World Economic Forum for his policies of afforestation, has recently adopted a Japanese approach known as Miyawaki.
In a social media post earlier today, Imran Khan said that “50 sites have been chosen in Lahore” for this new technique.
In response, Zac Goldsmith praised the Pakistani Prime Minister’s technique as “the best and cheapest answer…back to Nature” as illustrated via the below tweet.
This is undoubtedly a step in the right direction as Lahore suffers one of the worst levels of pollutions in the country.
However, Imran Khan should go even further and implement similar policies in Karachi which also suffers from extremely high levels of pollution.
