The Women’s EHF Euro 2024 Handball Championship is due to take place in Basel, Switzerland’s cultural capital.
Commencing on 28 November, the Women’s EHF Euro 2024 Handball Championship will take place across four different locations in three different countries. The tournament will see participation from a total of 24 teams.
The host cities include Basel, Switzerland; Vienna, Austria; Debrecen, Hungary; and, Innsbruck, Austria.
Teams in Group C and Group D will have their preliminary round matches in Basel, Switzerland.
Group C teams that will play at Basel’s St. Jakobshalle include: France, Spain, Poland and Portugal. Group D teams that will also play in the border-town of Basel include: Switzerland, Denmark, Croatia and Faroe Islands.
The preliminary round matches will run in Basel from 28 November to 3 December, which coincides with the opening of Basel’s world famous Christmas market, regarded as the best Christmas market in Europe.
