Basel, located in the north-west of the country, is undoubtedly Switzerland’s capital of culture. With almost 40 museums, its historical architecture very much in tact, numerous cafes, events, fairs and the Rhine river flowing through the city, there is so much to do for everyone.

Whether you like to sip coffee, enjoy delicious Swiss confectionary delights and enjoy the stunning views, or whether you like to stay active and wonder around the city, Basel has got to be on your travel itinerary.

Here, in this article, I am posting a collection of some of the videos that I have captured over the years in Basel.

Want to enjoy the views with historical buildings in sight? Then climbing to the Basler Münster is the activity for you because the views from the top are stunning. See it for yourself below.

 

In the mood for something fun, exhilarating and exciting? Then you have got to visit the city during the Basler Herbstmesse, Basel’s annual autumn fair hosted across multiple sites, with food stalls serving tradition Swiss food and confectionary surrounding rides that you don’t want to miss out on.

 

Want to marvel at historical architecture? Then, guess what? Yes, you guessed it right: Basel is the place to be!

 

Don’t feel like doing anything and just want have peaceful moment whilst enjoying the views? Then the banks of the Rhine river in Basel is the place to be…

 

Christmas Market

One of the best times to visit Basel is right NOW because Basel’s Christmas Market will be starting next week, and it’s thought to be the best ever Christmas market in Europe.
