Turkey’s President, Recep Tayab Erdogan, is due to visit Pakistan on Thursday 13 February. He will stay in Pakistan till Friday 14 February as part of the two day visit.
President Recep Tayab Erdogan “will be accompanied by a delegation of Turkish businessmen”, according to Abdul Razak Dawood, who is an adviser to Pakistan’s Prime Minister.
Both countries have recently witnessed an uphill progress in their bilateral relationship.
Last year, Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Turkey to discuss numerous bilateral issues. At the time, the country’s Prime Minister was accompanied by a number of Federal Government Ministers and advisers.
Many commentators and political pundits have welcomed the prospective visit of Turkey’s President to Pakistan.
Supporters of Pakistan’s governing PTI party have also praised Imran Khan for reviving the country’s foreign policy and making visits of foreign heads of states to the country possible again.
