Selena Gomez has decided to help out a hospital in Los Angeles, USA, so they can buy much needed masks and ventilators in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
During the current pandemic, many other celebrities all around the world have done similar charitable acts as well.
Meanwhile, the singer also thanked health care professionals for putting their own ‘health on the the line to take care of others’.
The hospital that Selena Gomez is donating to is called Cedars-Sinai, which is based in Los Angeles. In a social media post yesterday, the singer said the hospital had ‘taken such good care of me so it’s my turn to show my gratitude’.
In response to Selena Gomez’s generosity, many of her fans praised her for this incredibly positive and uplifting act. Some people, for example, claimed that her generosity will also inspire others to do the same.
After Selena Gomez’s announcement, the official Twitter account for the Cedars-Sinai hospital tweeted to thank the singer. In a tweet they wrote: ‘Thank you for supporting our #HealthcareHeroes!’
