Switzerland, which never ceases to amaze because of its natural wonders and engineering marvels, is due to inaugurate the steepest cable car in the world this winter, just ahead of the Christmas holiday season.
With a whopping gradient of 160%, holiday-makers and ski enthusiasts will be able to enjoy breathtaking views from heights never experienced before.
The ‘Schilthorn 20xx’, which going to be a world record breaker because of it’s steep gradient, is due to be inaugurated on the 14th December this year, according to travel switzerland.
Social media users from all across the world have expressed their excitement and enthusiasm at the news of the inauguration date, stating that they are incredibly excited to travel in the new cable car once it opens to the public next month.
Next month’s inauguration between Stechelberg and Mürren will mean that the cableway will be able to transport an impressive 800 passengers an hour. This will, according to travel switzerland, double the previous capacity.
Super excited because I would really like to travel on it!
