Gina Miller, leader of the True & Fair Party, has written to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak urging him to ‘put an end to the laziness of MPs’.

The campaigner turned politician has urged the Prime Minister to adopt the suggestions and proposals in her letter as his New Year resolutions.

In a letter published on her Party’s website on Friday, 30 December 2022, Mrs Gina Miller urged the Prime Minister to implement two key policies to ‘…put an end to the laziness of MPs’.

Gina Miller’s first proposal to Rishi Sunak pertains to the work MPs do in their respective constituencies. ‘The True & Fair Party believes that weekly surgeries must be compulsory and part of new contractual obligations for all elected members of parliament’, writes Mrs Miller.

The second policy that the former campaigner has proposed is regarding the sitting time of the House of Commons. Addressing the Prime Minister, the leader of the recently founded True & Fair Party writes, ‘I am asking you to legislate for compulsory weekly surgeries, as well as enshrine into law a minimum of 40 weeks of sitting time in the House of Commons.’

These two policies, according to Gina Miller, are going to ‘to restore trust and ethical behaviour in politics’.

It remains to be seen whether the Prime Minister is going to respond to the letter, let alone adopt these much needed policies as his New Year resolutions.

Meanwhile, social media users have praised the True & Fair Party for suggesting these proposals.
