Prime Minister Imran Khan is urging the public to “#PlantForPakistan” as part of his government’s continued efforts to reduce the impact of climate change on the country.

His latest government effort is titled ‘Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign’ which has been kick started by the Prime Minister himself in the city of Kahuta in Punjab.

There have been many similar tree plantation campaign in all over Pakistan since he Mr Imran Khan took office in 2018.

On various social media apps, the official accounts of the governing party are also publishing a handy, six-step and easy to understand guide for how people can go about planting trees themselves.

The overall aim of current and former tree plantation campaigns has been to revive Pakistan’s nature by planting at least 10 billion trees.

Although this may seem an overwhelmingly ambitious target, the Prime Minister’s party led a campaign in the province of KP which saw the plantation of at least 1 billion trees between 2013 and 2018.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and this government’s efforts have also been lauded by international organisation including the World Economic Forum, as evident in the below clip.
