Dawn Butler, Labour’s Member of Parliament for Brent Central, was asked to leaved the House of Commons today after the politician claimed that “the prime minister has lied”.

Dawn Butler MP, during her speech, also referenced Peter Stefanovic’s video which has now received more than 27 million views on Twitter.

The video highlights numerous instances of Prime Minister Boris Johnson misleading the House of Commons from the dispatch box.

After Dawn Butler was asked to leave the House of Commons for the day, journalist Tim Walker (author of Star Turns) asked his huge social media following to “get #DawnSpeaksForMe trending”.

Since Tim Walker’s viral tweet, tens-of-thousands of people have been using the aforementioned hashtag to express their support and sympathy with the Labour MP for Brent Central.
