Pakistanis are observing another ‘Kashmir Solidarity Hour’ today. Politicians, famous people and officials of various sectors are expressing their solidarity with the people of Kashmir today.

Pakistan also observed a similar ‘Kashmir Solidarity Hour‘ last year to raise awareness about the human rights violations the people of that region are being subjected to.

To raise awareness about the plight of the people of Kashmir, the official Twitter account of Pakistan’s government has been tweeting facts and figures about the challenges Kashmir faces.

On January 24, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan urged the public to show their support for “8 million Kashmiris”.

In response to the Prime Minister’s request, people have turned in various cities to show that they are standing shoulder to shoulder with the people of Kashmir. Protesters also urged international organisations to investigate the alleged human rights abuses that are being committed in Kashmir.

Many human rights organisations have already denounced the inhumane treatment the people of Kashmir are being subjected to.
