Muslim leaders are wishing their citizens and everyone around the world a ‘Happy Christmas’. Prime Ministers, Presidents and religious leaders of Islamic countries are sending warm wishes to those celebrating Christmas.
“Wishing all our Christian citizens a Happy Christmas”, tweeted Imran Khan, Pakistan’s popular prime minister and former world-class cricketer.
Dr Arif Alvi, Pakistan’s president also expressed his Christmas wishes to those celebrating in the country and everywhere around the world.

Warm wishes were also expressed by representatives of the Iranian government who reminded the public that Jesus is revered by both Christians and Muslims. “The honor #Muslims attribute to #JesusChrist (pbuh) is no less than his position and merit in the eyes of the Christian believers in Christianity”, tweeted Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader.
Dr Mahatir Mohamad, Malaysia’s Prime Minister also expressed his well wishes by tweeting: “My wife and I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year”.
As illustrated by the above messages, Christmas, among many other days, is a time of brotherhood and sisterhood between Muslims and Christians because both religions respect and believe in Jesus.
