J-Hope of BTS made a very generous donation to a children’s charity recently, according reports from Kpop Herald.
It has been reported that J-Hope donated at least 100 million KRW, which is about $84,416. The recipient of the donation was a charity by the name ‘Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation‘ with the Twitter handle @childfundkorea.
The bio of the aforementioned charity’s Twitter account states that it specialises in helping children from disadvantaged backgrounds such as those who are not financially well off and also help prevent abuse.
Meanwhile, Kpop Herald described the aforementioned charity by stating that they “support children from low-income families”.
After hearing the tremendous news of J-Hope’s charitable donation, social media users were thrilled but not surprised because this isn’t the first time that a BTS member has contributed something to wider society.
There have been many previous instances of where BTS have either collective or individually supported great causes, most notably their $1 million donation to Black Lives Matter which was then matched by their fandom.
After hearing this news, one Twitter account described J-Hope in the following words: “Hoseok you are the most beautiful kind-hearted soul and gorgeous!” A description of J-Hope that we can all agree with because he is most definitely a “beautiful kind-hearted soul” as this donation clearly illustrates.
