Gina Miller – a campaigner, author and businesswoman who launched the True & Fair Party less than a year ago – visited the Good Company (Surrey) in Epsom and Ewell on Thursday.
The ‘Good Company (Surrey)‘, according to their website is a ‘charity that runs projects including the foodbank, the refugee network and the Epsom Pantry, as well as offering support work.’
The use of food banks has increased over the past decade, and much more exponentially since the start of the cost of living crisis.
In a social media post on Thursday, the True & Fair Party’s leader stated that it was “Humbling to meet the Good Company Foodbank Team in Epsom and Ewell this afternoon – working to satisfy an ever growing demand for a wide range of needs – as are many foodbanks @TrussellTrust”.
Mrs Miller further stated that “The goal must be to find permanent pathways out of poverty and restore people’s dignity”.
