Embassy of Pakistan in Türkiye celebrates winners of the the Jinnah Young Writers Award

The Embassy of Pakistan in Türkiye celebrated the talent and creativity of Turkish students in a grand prize distribution ceremony for the 7th edition of the annual “Jinnah Young Writers Award” essay competition. Held in Ankara on 24 December, the event brought together esteemed guests, including Türkiye’s Deputy Minister for National Education, Ms. Celile Eren Ökten, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Türkiye, H.E. Dr. Yousaf Junaid.

This year’s essay competition revolved around the theme, “Enchanting Landscapes and Architectural Marvels: Exploring the Beauty of Pakistan and Türkiye.” Senior high school students participated with enthusiasm, showcasing their insights into the cultural and natural splendors of both nations. The initiative aims to foster cultural understanding and strengthen the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye.

Out of numerous talented participants, three students emerged as winners:

  • First Place: Sultan Ayhan
  • Second Place: Zeynep Ceren Seven
  • Third Place: AbdulHadi Şahin

The winners were honoured with awards and certificates, recognising their exceptional contributions. Their essays highlighted the shared heritage and breathtaking beauty of both countries, further promoting the essence of bilateral relations.

Mahroo Arshad, a Pakistani diplomat in Türkiye, shared her excitement about the event on Twitter, posting a picture with the participants. “With winners of ‘Jinnah Young Writers Award 2024’,” she wrote, emphasising the competition’s role in strengthening educational and cultural ties between the two countries. She also extended her congratulations to all participants and winners.

The ceremony reflected the commitment of both nations to fostering cultural exchange and educational collaboration. The annual competition continues to inspire young minds and deepen the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye.

As the Jinnah Young Writers Award grows in popularity, it remains a beacon of cultural diplomacy, bringing together the youth of Pakistan and Türkiye to celebrate shared heritage and build a brighter future.
