England has defeated South Africa by two wickets in a One Day International match, which took place at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
After winning the toss, England chose to field first. A decision that proved to be positive in their path to victory.
South Africa therefore batted first and scored 256 runs at the expense of 7 in their full 50 Overs. Their high scorers were: Quinton de Kock, David Miller and JJ Smuts.
In response, England successfully achieved their target of 257 runs in 43.2 Overs and at the expense of 8 wickets. The top three scorers for England’s team were: Joe Denly, Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow.
Today’s victory means that the One Day International series concludes at a draw because South Africa previously defeated England.
Now, starting from Wednesday both teams will play three T20 matches.
