Riyadh – The crescent moon marking the beginning of Shawwal has been sighted in Saudi Arabia, officially signaling the end of Ramadan. As a result, Eid Al-Fitr will be celebrated across the Kingdom on Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Eid Al-Fitr, one of the most significant Islamic festivals, is observed at the start of Shawwal, the tenth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. The traditional Eid prayer is set to take place in mosques and designated prayer areas shortly after sunrise on Sunday.

As the announcement was made, excitement spread among residents, with families preparing for the festivities by purchasing new clothes, arranging family gatherings, and stocking up on traditional Eid delicacies. The streets of major cities, including Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, are expected to be bustling with activity as people prepare for the joyous occasion.

With the confirmation of Eid Al-Fitr, millions of Muslims across Saudi Arabia will come together in prayer and celebration to mark the end of the holy month of fasting.
