The Christmas Market in Basel, Switzerland, is thought to be the BEST Christmas Market not just in the country but all over Europe.
Don’t believe me? Then read what CNN Travel said about Basel’s wonderful, scenic Christmas Market. “It’s hard to find a destination that does Christmas better than Switzerland. Most Swiss towns are pretty much taken over by festive markets at this time of year, and the atmosphere is incredible. But Basel Christmas Market is the biggest and arguably the best around”
So, I have created a countdown below to the opening of the Christmas Market in Basel, Switzerland, because I am super excited.
Excited for the streets and public places in Basel to be filled with festive lights, delicious aromas and a Christmas-y spirit. Excited for the decorations at Münsterplatz surrounding the city’s magnificent cathedral, for the mouthwatering festive delicacies at Barfüsserplatz and for the Swiss Christmas spirit to come alive again all throughout the city.
Basel’s scenic Christmas Market, as you can see from the countdown above, will open tomorrow and close on 23 December.
