Cinnamood Basel is a heavenly delight for cinnamon roll lovers. Located in the heart of Basel, Switzerland’s capital of culture, it is the best place one can go to for the most delicious cinnamon rolls you could ever have in your entire life.

Whether you work in Basel or are visiting the beautiful, cultural city for pleasure or business, it’s ideally located on Freie Str., only a short distance away from Bahnhof SBB, for you to stop by and enjoy an otherworldly, momentary confectionary delight not to be found anywhere else.

Now, they do have a lot branches all over Germany and they will also be opening an outlet in Amsterdam, Netherlands; Bern, Switzerland; Zurich, Switzerland; and, across a number of other prime locations across the continent.

But the Cinnamood branch of Basel comes with a Swiss vibe, a Swiss feeling; going to Cinnamood is now part and parcel of my routine whenever I go to Basel. It’s like I haven’t completed my trip or haven’t fully experienced Basel without having eaten Cinnamood’s delicious cinnamon rolls.

I say ‘rolls’, the plural form of ‘roll’ because, more often than not, eating one roll simply isn’t enough for me because of how flavoursome they’re, which is why, when I was in Basel recently I did not order just one cinnamon roll but two on both occasions.

During my first visit, I ordered, after thinking about it for a very long time because all of the rolls looked very inviting, the ‘Banana Bread Roll’ and the ‘White Chocolate Raspberry Roll’.

On my second visit, I got the ‘Pistachio Roll’ to eat in and ‘Bueno Roll’ for takeaway. The takeaway rule means that you can enjoy the flavourful cinnamon rolls across Basel’s incredibly scenic public places. I, for instance, sat down on the banks of the Rhein river to enjoy the must-try ‘Bueno Roll’, as you can see from of the pictures above.

All four rolls that I have eaten thus far were equally appetizing in their own unique way.

I am, next time, planning to try out the following items on their wide ranging menu: ‘Oreo Roll’, ‘Apple Roll’, ‘Speculas Roll’ and ‘Raffaela Roll’.

Can’t wait!
